Vaisala Sans

Vaisala creates a wide array of technologies that measure and make sense of the physical world, providing instruments and intelligence across the planet and beyond, including some of the most challenging conditions in the galaxy. 
The new visual identity is based on a particle concept, representing a single element that makes up everything, both seen and unseen

Vaisala Sans was designed to be as sleek, precise and functional as their technology. The round letters have a subtle squareness to them, and shapes that are normally round have been made straight, such as the terminals of f, g and t. The mix of round and square shapes gives the font a cutting-edge feel, perfect for communicating their pioneering  work.

The particle concept was implemented into the typeface by adding subtle round shapes throughout the alphabet. These details disappear in small sizes so they don’t hinder legibility and become visible in display sizes.
